An AIM-listed British online casino and video games developer Playwize recently signed a partnership with the interactive division of the leading French land-based casino operator. This company manages some 50 casinos. The terms of the agreement give the online casino software makers permission to promote and distribute its flagship poker game through various channels in France, including all the land-based casino locations. The online casinos software provider has fully localized its offering so that French online gambling players will be able to access its exclusive interactive tutorial, in-game advice and statistics calculator in their own native language.
'No other poker game in the French market has the suite of features offered by...Poker - and none are fully localized to the French language. ...we will be able to promote...poker through strategic distribution channels throughout the country,' said Foo Katan, the CEO of the online casino software gaming company. The online casino software maker is no stranger to collaboration with major companies, having developed innovative games for consoles such as XBOX, PS2 and Nintendo GameCube.
A company spokesman said that the management believes that the agreement with this French land-based casino group will increase awareness of the online casino software company and its capabilities amongst a key demographic in France. This demographic is believed to be able to get free copies of the new Poker game on disc or through a download on the company's website.
